The British Association of Picture Libraries and Agencies (BAPLA) is the UK trade association for companies licensing still and moving images. BAPLA represents over 330 member companies ranging from small specialists to multinationals, collectively managing in excess of 350 million images from over 400,000 photographers (including some of the best names in photography). BAPLA offers a range of services to its members, including standard contracts, pricing trend surveys, marketing and PR, legal advice, lobbying, mediation, and also organises the annual Picture Buyers’ Fair - the largest event for image buyers in the world. BAPLA was established in 1975. |
