ABC
Announces New Division
The Australian Broadcasting Corporation
(ABC) has announced the establishment
of a division which will bring together
under the one management structure
the two arms of the Enterprises Division
(ABC Retail and ABC Consumer Publishing),
ABC Content Sales from the Content
Rights Management Division and ABC
Productions from the Production Resources
Division.
This new structure will enable a
clearer separation of the Corporation's
commercial and editorial activities
and a more focused and dedicated approach
to business development.
Robyn Watts, currently Director of
Content Rights Management, will take
leadership of ABC Enterprises.
Grahame Grassby is General Manager
ABC Consumer Publishing, and Doug
Walker General Manager ABC Retail.
John Graham, presently the ABC's NSW
State Director, will become General
Manager ABC Resource Hire (the former
ABC Productions). John brings a strong
pre-ABC background in television production
and resources to this position. James
Cuming will act in the new role of
General Manager ABC Content Sales.

Executive Changes
Helen Thwaites, currently the ABC's
Head of Acquisition Business Management,
has been appointed to the position
Business Affairs Manager Commissioned
Content, in Business Affairs.
Kaye Warren, currently Head ABC Content
Sales, has been appointed Manager
Business Affairs Acquisitions, in
Business Affairs.
These appointments coincide with
the transfer of Business Affairs (incorporating
Acquisition Business Management) into
Business Services Division (formerly
Finance and Support Services) from
Content Rights Management.
Archives and Library Services and
Rights Management will also transfer
to the Business Services Division
from Content Rights Management, following
the decision to close the latter division,
effective 30 June 2003.
Helen Thwaites and Kaye Warren will
report to Jane Rogers who will continue
Acting Head of Business Affairs.
