BFI - Procedural Changes

1 April 2005

This outlines recent changes to accessing the British Film Institute's archival collection.

All commercial enquires for extracts to specific titles held in the bfi National Film and Television Archive should be directed to the bfi Footage Sales team via email (address below).

Non commercial enquirers should contact the bfi Information Team (contact details below).

Those enquirers who require the assistance of one of the curatorial staff - especially those needing detailed subject information about the archive collections -will be passed on to them when appropriate. Where necessary, researchers will still be able to make an appointment with curatorial staff to make use of onsite catalogue resources, generally at 48 hours notice.

The purpose of these changes is to simplify points of contact for users, and to allow the NFTVA> '> s new curatorial team to focus on their work with the archive collection.
