Distribution agreement with Austria’s largest media provider: Framepool customers can now obtain selected ORF archive material

Framepool is pleased to announce a further significant addition to its licensers: The Austrian Broadcasting Corporation Österreichischer Rundfunk (ORF) is making selected material accessible for ongoing online marketing via Framepool.com. Thus, the footage collection run by filmmakers now enables its customers to quickly research, license and re-use existing and future ORF clips online. The subject matter is divided into nature and landscape material, news, culture and historical footage.

ORF is Austria’s largest media provider with three television channels, three national radio stations and nine regional radio stations. It is also the largest cooperative member of the Austria Presse Agentur (APA).

ORF’s film archive dates right back to the 1950s. In short, hundreds of moving images are available to be used again, and the range of different subjects includes current affairs, landscapes, towns and cities, nature, science, culture and historical footage. The current distribution agreement with Framepool is set to make the search for and use of the comprehensive array of material as easy as possible for interested film-makers. The clips on Framepool.com can be searched for directly using key words, and can be accessed in the shortest possible amount of time in the desired format.

"The collaboration with Framepool will enable us to develop the footage market even more intensively. The Framepool team enjoys a large degree of trust among film-makers thanks to its profound expertise and personal service," says Beatrice Riesenfelder, Head of Sales and Acquisitions at ORF. "In this respect, we are extremely confident that we have put our faith in the right partner with this agreement."

"ORF is one of the most important providers of high-quality content in the global TV market. This new distribution agreement will enable us to offer our customers a wide variety of subject matter in outstanding quality," says Ulrike Ziegler, Chief Content Officer at Framepool. "That is why we are delighted that ORF has selected us as a partner."
