More than 1 million hours of motion in an instant!
From October 1st, Scandinavia’s biggest picture agency Scanpix represents ITN Source in the Nordic region. This will add over 1 million hours of motion to the Scanpix archive – more than 100 years of screen time!
During the last few years Scanpix has built an abundant motion archive which includes the selling rights to the ever popular Norwegian historical news reel ”Filmavisen”. As of today, Scanpix represents ITN Source in the Nordic region, and now offers worldwide motion footage for both editorial and commercial use. The archive contains every aspect from unique motion clips from the early 1890’s through to yesterday’s news.
Catherine Laferriere-Vitali, Sales Manager for ITN Source, Mainland Europe said: “We are delighted to have teamed up with Scanpix, who have established themselves as the leading picture agency in Scandinavia. We believe they have the right mix of skills and key customer relationships to successfully market and license out content to audiences in the whole Nordic region.”
Head of Business Development for Scanpix, Lars Borg says: ”We really look forward to making one of the world’s greatest motion archives known to the Nordic region, and especially to the high number of very good Nordic documentary film projects”.
