HIGHLIGHT MOMENTS OF NHL¨ HOCKEY
NOW VIEWABLE ONLINE (Toronto, ON /
Northvale, NJ) Ð September 16, 2003:
The NHL Hockey Archive announced the
launch of its new website www.NHLHockeyArchive.com.
Replacing the initial, temporary website,
clients will now be able to submit
their requests online through a request
form that is linked to the internal
work order database. New users can
get an overview of the available collections
and view various samples of NHL hockey
from past and present.
Producers, Programmers, Creative
Directors and Researchers will find
a stylish new feel with easy-to-use
navigation that gives basic information
as well as details on what the NHL
Hockey Archive is and what its collections
are comprised of. The new website
is intended to expand awareness among
the production, broadcast and advertising
industries and facilitates communication
between clients and the NHL Hockey
Archive. Users are welcome to submit
their feedback and can sign up to
receive updates on new acquisitions
and special offers.
Future enhancements to the NHL Hockey
ArchiveÕs website will see the introduction
of a research tool, with long-term
plans to digitize significant parts
of the collection (allowing more of
the research process to be handled
online).
ÒWe are pleased to be able to offer
visitors an online glimpse into our
extensive collection, and are confident
that this site will inspire not only
those producers who know and love
hockey, but also those who are not
yet familiar with the unparalleled
dynamics of our game,Ó says Patti
Fallick, Vice President of NHL Productions.
The featured sample footage shows
such unique moments as exclusive dressing
room footage of the New York Rangers
and Detroit Red Wings in the 1950Õs,
Bobby OrrÕs famous ÒflyingÓ overtime
goal in 1970, the Pittsburgh Penguins
winning their first Stanley Cup in
1991 and several highlights of the
game as played today.
