Those libraries able to supply the material requested should reply within 24-48 hours, but it is important to note that every library charges different rates for preview or master material and licences will depend on the amount of material to be supplied, the use, the territory and the length of the licence required.

While you are waiting, we suggest that you browse through the FOCAL Directory which gives contact details and a brief description of each of the 130 library collections. Many libraries offer on-line search of their databases, or you can make direct contact by phone, email or fax to the contacts listed.

If it is a major project that you are working on, or you are having a real problem finding the footage, stills or audio required, we recommend that you hire one of FOCAL's 130 professional film researcher members.
