Elizabeth Klinck has worked as a producer, researcher and clearance specialist on hundreds of award-winning documentary films in the Canada, the UK and US. Projects she has worked on have garnered Emmy, Gemini, Peabody and Academy awards. A graduate of Queen's University, Elizabeth recently instructed a course in research at Ryerson University in Toronto. She is a member of the board of directors for FOCAL International, Audio Visual Trust (Canada), and WIFT. She is the founding chairperson of the Visual Researchers Society of Canada (VRSC), and a member of the Documentary Organization of Canada (DOC) and WIFT (Toronto). In 2005 she was nominated for FOCAL's Researcher of the Year Award. In 2006 she was nominated for an Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Individual Achievement in a Craft : Research. In 2011 she won the first Visual Research Gemini Award in Canada and subsequently in 2014 and 2015. She won the first Gemeaux award for visual research in 2015. She was awarded FOCAL International's Lifetime Achievement Award in 2008.
