Law Firm 'Nabarro' Secures Sensitive Files While Conserving Valuable Office Space

23 August 2011

Investment in Iron Mountain’s information management service enables efficient and secure document storage and retrieval

London, UK. 23, 2011 – Nabarro has today announced that it is working with global information management company Iron Mountain to manage its records management and storage requirements, with information management specialists on-site to ensure highly sensitive client data is secure and retrievable.

As a major UK commercial law firm with offices in London and Sheffield (and international offices in Brussels and Singapore), Nabarro is responsible for a vast range of highly sensitive, case-related information and, like all businesses, it has an obligation to its clients to keep their information secure. Dealing with a wide range of cases, from contracts to legal disputes, the implications of any type of data breach would be huge, likely resulting in a loss of trust, damage to reputation and consequently a loss of customers. Not only is there a danger of a data breach, but managing data is a time-intensive job that requires extra resource.

To alleviate the administrative pressure on Nabarro, three full-time Iron Mountain information management specialists are now based in the company’s London office. Working closely with the Nabarro team, Iron Mountain is able to fully understand the needs, processes and procedures of the law firm, and offer a value-added service. Iron Mountain also provides a twice-daily document collection and delivery service and a premium two-hour emergency retrieval service.

With limited storage space and an overwhelming amount of records in its London and Sheffield offices, Nabarro is using a mix of open-shelf storage for active files, and box-based storage for archived items. The company recognises the importance of having a secure system in place that is both cost effective and safe: “We find open-shelf storage to be the most cost-effective way to store our most active files. It’s easier to reach the files we need and we only pay for the space that we use”, says Chris Francis, records supervisor at Nabarro.

Nabarro is considering employing Iron Mountain in its Singapore office due to the strong relationship it has built and the efficient, cost-effective service it provides. Chris Francis comments, “I’m constantly delighted with the service that Iron Mountain provides. Costs are very competitive and Iron Mountain is very flexible, always going the extra mile to meet our changing needs.”
