Thought Equity Motion and Avid Form Exclusive Partnership to
Connect Editing Workflows with Cloud-Based Licensing and Storage Services
Integration between Media Composer 6 and Footage Licensing and Management Platform Facilitates a More Seamless Production Workflow
DENVER, Nov. 3, 2011 —Thought Equity Motion, Inc.—a leading provider of video platform and footage licensing services—announced a partnership in which the company’s footage licensing and cloud-based storage services are integrated into the latest edition of Avid’s flagship editing systems, Media Composer® version 6, NewsCutter® version 10 and Symphony® version 6.
With the most recent version of Avid’s professional editing systems, Thought Equity Motion’s services will be offered in the Avid® marketplace. The integration means that users will be able to search, preview, and download millions of hours of sports, news, entertainment and creative footage from Thought Equity Motion’s library directly within Media Composer projects. In addition, users can work with comps and then keep their edits when they license and download high-quality video files.
“Thought Equity Motion’s footage licensing platform puts the industry’s most comprehensive video library at the finger tips of Avid customers worldwide,” said Angus Mackay, segment marketing manager at Avid. “Media Composer version 6, NewsCutter version 10 and Symphony version 6 will also be able to use the company’s best-in-class support for content research and rights and clearances. This rich integration supports a robust licensing and editing experience and enables our customers to save time during the creative and storytelling processes.”
“Our integration with Avid’s professional editing systems is another example of how we are connecting the creative ecosystem with our cloud-based media services,” stated Kevin Schaff, Thought Equity Motion’s CEO & Founder. “In this first stage, our partnership makes it even easier for the post production community to utilize high-quality footage in their productions. The next stage of this integration will enable producers to easily upload and access their content in Thought Equity’s T3 Platform.”
