ITN Source Serves Up a Storm of New, Creative HD Video Content

19 September 2007

ITN Source continues to expand its moving image collections with four new representation deals, giving the broadcast and creative production industries access to more unique footage. Already representing the world’s largest and most diverse collection of footage libraries, these latest deals confirm ITN Source as the media industries’ first choice for professional video content.

The exceptional Cyclone Media Network collection contains daring, up-close footage shot by professional US stormchasers. Their cameras get to the heart of the storm to capture extreme weather phenomena including tornadoes, hurricanes and cyclones. This dramatic video content is available in High Definition (HD) format and includes ‘ground zero’ footage of Hurricane Katrina.

The CFAN content library is an inspiring collection of global, scenic and aerial stock footage, with nearly 60 hours of stunning material filmed in HD. Clips include striking shots of the Egyptian pyramids, Mount Fuji, the Blue Mountains, Grand Canyon and Great Wall of China, amongst many other international sites, and is ideal for creative customers seeking high quality professional stock shots.

In another deal, ITN Source will be representing a premium collection of stock footage from renowned cinematographer Louis Schwartzberg's US-based Blacklight Films. From spectacular waterscapes and world travel to lifestyle, culture and wildlife, including HD material, this high quality selection of moving imagery is available exclusively in the US.

In addition, the deal with award-winning UK-based independent production company, Many Rivers Films, offers customers access to rushes filmed exclusively inside the world’s only jail for failed female suicide bombers. Filmed earlier this year in Hasharon Prison, Israel, this rare and highly topical collection of footage also includes powerful images shot inside Gilboa men’s prison in Israel.

Asha Oberoi, Content Director, ITN Source said, “ITN Source has invested heavily in creating a digital infrastructure to support our moving image library and provide customers with the best possible platform for our content. These latest representation deals cement our commitment to drive the business’s online growth by offering our demanding global customer base the best and most diverse range of video content available.”
