Media Burn

Media Burn is an extraordinary collection of work by independent video producers reflecting cultural, political and social reality from 1969 through 2010. This unique archive contains the work of cutting edge video pioneers from around the world.  We are excited to represent this archive as it expands and broadens our already strong social, political and global conflict collections

 Visual Connections (formerly Picturehouse Marketing US) will be hosting its annual Image Expo at the Metropolitan Pavilion in New York City on October 13th. This one day event is for  image buyers, researchers, designers, art directors, and other users of images and footage.
The panel will look at the converging worlds of footage and stills and will examine issues surrounding licensing and using footage from the perspective of a stills image buyer and will cover:

  • Licensing issues, and how they differ from licensing stills
  • Relative merits of royalty free and rights managed content, and if there will always be a place for both.
  • Production processes, and how they differing from using stills.
  • Matching stills and clips for a coordinated cross-media campaign.
