Munich/London, 28th May 2008- Framepool was recognised at the FOCAL International awards last Wednesday night in London, as director and producer Stuart Warren-Hill from Hexstatic won the award for 'Best Use of Footage in an Advertisement' for the viral "Diesel 78: Learn Disco Dance".
Stuart Warren-Hill approached Framepool to find the weirdest footage material available for a viral commercial for sneakers of the iconic Italian brand Diesel. Framepool’s research specialist Stella Waltemade sourced the very bizarre sequence of a disco dancing course in Finland. Stuart skillfully created additional scenes with the DIESEL sneakers and incorporated them into the original footage - a subtle technique made famous by 'Forrest Gump'.
Stephan Bleek, CEO of Framepool Munich said: "I would like to congratulate Stuart on his win. I would also like to thank him for coming to Framepool and working with us on this enormously successful project. And congratulations to Stella too who found this cool piece of footage. To play with archive footage is a great challenge for all creatives in today´s advertising film market - this has been recognised by the award."
