Starting on February 1st EDN has appointed Hanne Skjødt as the new Network Manager. Hanne Skjødt comes from a position as distribution consultant of shorts and documentaries at the Danish Film Institute. Skjødt will take over the position after Anita Reher.
After 10 years of dedicated work as the Network Manager of EDN, Anita Reher has decided to focus on EDN's relations with other documentary associations, institutions, networks and partners. As of Feb 1st she will be Head of International Relations.
EDN Director Leena Pasanen says: Bringing the capacity of Hanne Skjødt into the EDN is really great. We all look forward to the boost of experience, fresh ideas and new knowledge that she will bring our office as well as the whole network.
Upon the announcement of her new position Hanne Skjødt says: I look forward to join an organisation like EDN and make this great international network grow even bigger and stronger. Personally I am happy to extend my passion for working with international documentaries into a new dimension.
CV of Hanne Skjødt
Hanne Skjødt has studied psychology at the University of Copenhagen. In 1993 she began working with documentaries and art house feature film production and promotion. In 1995 she joined Final Cut Productions to work mainly with documentaries: financing, production, distribution and promotion. Since 2000 she has been with the Danish Film Institute as distribution and promotion consultant and head of unit, distribution and promotion of shorts and documentaries. In this position she was in charge of international promotion at film festivals as well as supporting producers' national promotion and distribution and the Danish Film Institute distribution of shorts and documentaries on DVD to schools, educational establishments and public libraries.
