ITN Archive is supplying video content for a one off event at the music industry's annual video awards bash on 8th June. Run by the music industry's trade magazine Music Week, the awards celebrate the best work in music video, music DVD and music TV.
For the first time, the awards will feature 15 minute audiovisual montages produced live on stage by some of the UK's leading music promo directors, using the latest Pioneer DVJ equipment and footage from ITN's extensive music archive.
Ross Landau , head of the music sales division at ITN Archive said: "We are delighted to be supplying footage for this event. It is truly a one off event and a fantastic opportunity for us to showcase our very broad collection of iconic music clips. From early footage of Sting and Johnny Rotten to unique Beatles' films and rare unbroadcast performances by current acts like the Sugababes, we have a huge range of music stars on video, even before they were famous."
Ajax Scott publisher of Music Week said: "The Cads have always focused on creativity. This year we wanted to go one step further by including live visual performances, and ITN Archive's participation in the event will undoubtedly be one of the highlights. "
ITN Archive is also sponsoring the Best Music DVD category at the awards which are being held at the legendary music venue , the Hammersmith Palais.
