BBC Motion Gallery, the footage sales arm of BBC Worldwide, has today announced the appointment of Pauline Deschamps as Business Development Manager. Pauline, formerly Sales Manager for Europe at ITN Archive, will be based in the BBC Worldwide Paris office where she will be working predominantly on exploiting new opportunities within the French market as well as developing existing business for that territory. Pauline will also be responsible for utilising her excellent German contacts to expand the Motion Gallery business in Germany. She will report to Linda Reeve, Sales Director.
Linda Reeve said, ‘We are delighted to welcome Pauline on-board; she brings with her a remarkable knowledge of the industry and markets for which she will be working. Her track-record for managing people and maximising business opportunities is exceptional and will be an invaluable aid to the growth of our footage sales business in France and Germany.’
Pauline Joined ITN Archive in 2004 as Sales Executive for German-speaking and Eastern Europe, where she was responsible for archive sales and business development. Pauline has most recently been heading up the ITN Archive Paris office whilst covering maternity leave. Prior to this, Pauline worked as Sales & Research Executive at the London-based ATPN Library.
Pauline takes up her role on Monday 15 May 2006.
BBC Motion Gallery launched its website - www.bbcmotiongallery.com - in June 2004 and customers can now search from a wide variety of clips from differing archives. The business has provided footage for some of the year’s biggest movies, television programmes and advertising campaigns, as well as more unusual ventures including pop videos and entertainment for hairdressing salons.
