ITN Archive, the world’s leading broadcast footage source, has renewed and extended its representation agreement with the Images of War collection.
The current collection of more than 300 hours of war footage has been updated and brought fully online in the ITN database.
In addition new footage covering the second half of the 20 th century up to the present has been added. Much of this new material is shot in colour on 16mm film and covers conflicts from Korea and Vietnam up to the fighting in the Gulf and beyond.
It also includes training and demonstration footage showing modern weapons and tactics. The collection is constantly growing and further material will be added as it is acquired.
The Images of War specialist footage complements the vast general archive within ITN, with many thousands of hours shot over more than a century.
ITN Archive is one of the world’s largest archives, exclusively representing footage from ITN, Reuters Television, British Pathe, Granada, Channel 4 and other specialist archives such as Airtime and Sam Silver.
The footage is available worldwide through ITN and is also licensed in the UK direct through Images of War.
