BBC Motion Gallery, the footage sales arm of BBC Worldwide, today announced new sporting footage to be made available commercially for the first time.
In an agreement finalised at BBC Showcase today, BBC Motion Gallery was appointed as global distributor for a new series of surfing, skiing and snowboarding footage produced by international sports brand, Rip Curl. Announcing the deal, BBC Motion Gallery Sales Director, Linda Reeve, said, “There is stunning new footage in this collection of surf and snowbound action. With the latest production techniques, Rip Curl has been able to capture quality shots at high speeds, whether inside a breaking wave or hurtling down the slopes.”
