The Wellcome Trust has appointed Angela Saward as Curator of Moving Images & Sound working within the Wellcome Library.
She will maintain and manage the audiovisual resources alongside Ruth Blue, Assistant Film & Sound Researcher.
Prior to her 13.5 years at Film Images (London) as Administrator, Research Co-Ordinator and latterly as Director and General Manager, Angela’s career has encompassed working in the field of marketing, library and information science.
From 2001-3 Angela was on the FOCAL Executive and also chair of the Events and Entertainments Committee.
Angela’s first degree was in English Literature and she completed a business MA in 2000 at the London Institute in Media Technology Administration.
Angela joins Wellcome at an exciting time, with plans for the refurbishment of 183 Euston Road as a new public space well underway. Opening in 2006, 183 will incorporate exhibition spaces, library, bookshop and café.
