Luxembourg, 1 October 2004 - Broadcasting Center Europe, an RTL Group company, and LSI-e have concluded an agreement to jointly promote and develop filmlibrary.tv, a new e-commerce portal enabling to display, commercialize and deliver film and video archives online.
Filmlibrary.tv offers powerful functionalities easing the exchanges of archives films and video between right owners and potential users such as news, film, documentary or magazine producers.
The website www.filmlibrary.tv presents a user-friendly interface – customizable in 5 languages – opening access to a one-stop-shop platform offering thematic search engine, online low resolution viewing, immediate price calculation and ordering system. The delivery of ordered product is made either through electronic means (file transfer) or on physical support (tape or DVD).
Filmlibrary.tv displays content in such fields as news, sport, culture or wildlife, which are regularly updated by famous providers like TVI, RTBF, Belgavox, ORF, ERT or RTP.
LSI-e developed the integrated electronic platform including the users interfaces, the business functions and the communication layers. They assure the non-stop performance of the solution as well as its regular evolution according to the needs of its business users.
BCE, via its European technical center located in Luxembourg, assures the film and video digital encoding of all original material, the secured archiving of high and low resolution files, the delivery of electronic or physical media and the hosting of the hardware infrastructure.
Both companies will have a stand during the MIPCOM 2004 in Cannes from 4 th to 8 th October to demonstrate the advantages of Filmlibrary.

On top of that, it has acquired technological competencies for Document Electronic Management and Archiving. In this respect, LSI-e contributes to the European project Portal/Nodal.
