A further appointment has been made to the management team of AP International, the division of the Associated Press charged with expanding AP business outside of the United States.
Toby Hartwell will expand his role to become Marketing Director for AP International. His current position is Marketing Director for APTN and within his new broader role he will maintain responsibility for APTN marketing activity. Toby will continue to report to Ian Ritchie, Vice President of Global Business for AP International. Toby joined APTN from Seagram Distillers in 2001, where he was Global Marketing Director for the portfolio of Chivas Regal brands.
Toby said: "I am delighted with the new appointment and the opportunity to look at how AP International can work more closely with its customers to deliver the products they need for their businesses. This represents a great marketing challenge. AP has a wealth of great content for all media and there are a lot of markets who are not aware of just how much we have to offer."
Ian Ritchie on announcing the appointment commented: "This is the first time that the AP has had a senior marketing role in its international management team and Toby's appointment is an important step in our plans to extend our presence internationally as we broaden our business base and look at ways to better serve our existing customers."
